Being the founder of Glissade has allowed me to spend
a great deal of my life riding on snow. Starting on
skis at age 2, I quickly mastered that sport and was
looking for something new. In 1985 when I built my first
snowboard I was just a young teenager and now some 20
years later I still enjoy riding snowboards the way
they should be ridden, fast, smooth and down hills.
Like a lot of Glissade riders rail slides just don’t
do it for me, so you won’t find me riding on anything
that doesn’t resemble mother nature’s snow
and rock. However what does do it for me is bombing
the Swiss Alps, Alaska, BC, and the big mountain resorts
of the west. I like fast riding in rolling creative
terrain. As a one of our lead designers I get to test
all kinds of shapes, ideas and materials. Oh the stories!
But of all the shapes in our library I must say the
165 (Short Bus) has always been my dream board; for
my size and style of riding it is the perfect solution.
